Part scientist, part artist and 100% wizard describes Tom Huesgen’s role at Cornerstone. Science know-how is key to delivering a superb golf course year after year, and Tom’s long tenure as superintendent at the prestigious Pebble Beach Golf Links is a testament to his abilities. Greg Norman’s team embraced Tom’s artistic eye as they collaborated on the implementation of the Cornerstone course design. As for wizardry, the meticulous course conditions, the daily preparedness and the service of the turf crew speak for themselves. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Tom’s eight years at the Pebble Beach Company also included work at Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Links at Spanish Bay.

Huesgen, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, began his superintendent’s career at Portland Golf Club in Portland, Oregon. He received his B.S. degree in Turf Grass Management from Oregon State University.
